Consequently JIS Z 3197:1999 is replaced with this Standard This JIS document is protected by the Copyright Law. (ii) PROTECTED BY COPYRIGHT JAPANESE INDUSTRIAL STANDARD JIS Z 3197 : 2012 Test methods for soldering fluxes Introduction This Japanese Industrial Standard has been prepared based on the first editions of ISO 9454-1 published in 1990, ISO 9455-1 published in 1990, ISO 9455-3 published in 1992, ISO 9455-5 published in 1992, ISO 9455-6 published in 1995, ISO 9455-10 pub- lished in 1998, IS0 9455-13 published in 1996, IS0 9455-14 published in 1991, IS0 9455-15 published in 1996, IS0 9455-16 published in 1998, IS0 9455-17 published in 2002, IS0 12224-2 published in 1997,IEC 61189-5 published in 2006,IEC 61189-6 published in 2006 and IEC 61190-1-1 published in 2002, but with some modifications of the technical contents in the said International Standards, which specify fluxes in- tended for all soldering purposes, whereas this JIS specifies fluxes intended for solder- ing for connection of wiring and parts in electric and electronic apparatuses and communication devices. The portions with continuous sidelines or dotted underlines are the matters in which the contents of the corresponding International Standards have been modified.
